Master Test Kit - Over 500 Tests Altogether! Contains Test Kit for pH, Ammonia, Nitrite and Phosphate. An Essential Tool for Aquaponics and General Pond Care.
Ammonia - Fish continually release ammonia into ponds through their gills, urine and solid waste. Uneaten food and decaying organic matter also add ammonia to the water. Even small amounts of ammonia stress fish; large amounts will kill fish. Use this test kit to easily and accurately measure the ammonia level, so that, if detected, steps can be taken to remove it.
Nitrite - Nitrite is a toxic by-product of pond life and overfeeding. Even low levels of nitrite affect the blood cells ability to carry oxygen and suppresses the immune system. Excess levels of nitrite will lead to fish death.
Phosphate - Phosphate can enter the aquarium through tap water, fish waste or decaying food. As phosphate increases, so does the chance of having unsightly algae and green water blooms. In saltwater, excess phosphate can inhibit the growth of hard corals.
pH - One of the major factors which determine good water quality id pH, which is the measure of acidity/alkalinity in your water. Neutral water has a pH of 7
